I taught a lesson involving abstract comics and included some from this blog. Its really insightful...You know him?! That's awesome. Do you have the book? (Abstract comics are fascinating.*Obssed at the moment with them)
He was in our show Out of Sequence, and he came to talk about abstract comics while the exhibition was up there. Another contributor to the anthology, Grant Thomas, lives in Champaign.
Hi Silvia! I'm curious about that lesson you taught. Please tell me more. (And thanks for the kind words!)
I put up a couple of classroom exercises involving abstract comics on the blog (John knows all about them)--but for some reason blogger won't allow me to paste them into this dialogue box right now. (I've seen this happen before--what's up with that?) Anyway, you can find them in the April archive on the Ab Cmx blog.
